With designation the KBA designation body confirms

  • For test laboratories
    the competence to perform product tests on the basis of EN ISO/IEC 17025 and/or EN
    ISO/IEC 17020 results of which are recognised by the KBA for the type approval procedure
  • For certification bodies
    the competence to perform certification or verification procedures of quality management systems on the basis of EN ISO/IEC 17021 which are recognised by the KBA for the type approval procedure
