Our advantages
We offer you a future-proof and crisis-proof job that is valuable for society.
Whether you are a career starter, a career changer or someone with a desire for change - our varied fields of activity offer the opportunity to take on new and interesting tasks within the KBA.
Benefit from a wide range of training and personnel development opportunities. We support extra-occupational courses of study, advanced training to become an administrative specialist or diploma in administration, needs-based further training in various fields such as IT, languages, rhetoric, further training for managers and much more.
Payment is based on your job and qualifications. Transparent salary and remuneration tables form the basis. The respective pay and grade groups allow you to reliably plan what salary will regularly flow into your account.
Another advantage is the transparent and continuous salary development through development stages and regularly negotiated collective agreements.
As a pay-scale employee, you receive a “Christmas bonus”, the so-called special annual payment, in accordance with the applicable collective agreement provisions.
With us you will receive an additional pension scheme with employer’s contribution and the possibility of deferred compensation for pay-scale employees.
If you have to move to start work, we will examine the possibilities of supporting you within the framework of the regulations on moving allowance.
With us in the public sector, you will receive 30 days’ holiday. In addition, we offer you the possibility of special and educational leave.
For its employees, the KBA is an equal-opportunity employer. Co-determination and the joint shaping of the working atmosphere is a matter of course for us. Your interests are represented by an active staff council, representatives for the severely disabled and the equal opportunities officer.
Whether flexitime, part-time, compensatory time off or home office, we offer a wide range of flexible working hours.
In accordance with collective bargaining regulations, special achievements can also be rewarded, be it the performance of an individual employee or the entire team.
We live inclusion and promote the participation of people with disabilities.
Remuneration at the KBA is clearly regulated:
For us, fair, gender-independent payment and clear working conditions are standard. Remuneration is not based on your negotiating skills, but on your job. As everywhere in the public sector, we have fixed pay scales for civil servants (Bundesbesoldungsordnung A) and pay scales for pay-scale employees (TVöD Bund).
For our pay-scale employees, the Federation regularly negotiates new collective agreements with the trade unions. All collective bargaining employees benefit directly from these negotiations with regular increases in pay. The salaries of civil servants are usually adjusted in line with the collectively agreed increases.
There are several pay or grade groups, both in the collective bargaining sector and for civil servants. Assignment to a salary or remuneration group is generally based on your educational qualifications and primarily on the tasks you perform for us.
In turn, there are several grades or pay levels in each grade or pay group. The longer you have worked for us, the higher the level to which you will be assigned. New employees usually start at level 1, although relevant professional experience may be taken into account. When you are hired, we will check your professional experience individually with regard to the level assignment.
You can use the Federal Office of Administration’s salary calculator to get a more accurate picture of the gross and net amounts of the various pay or grade groups. You can also get an overview with the salary and remuneration tables (Bundesbesoldungsordnung A for civil servants and TVöD Bund for pay-scale employees).
Collectively bargained employees also receive an annual special payment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement provisions. Furthermore, the employer also pays into an additional pension scheme and there is the possibility of deferred compensation for the employee’s own old-age provision.
