Driver Fitness Assessment System

The Driver Fitness Assessment System guarantees equal treatment of all persons who have attracted attention in road traffic by means of a nationwide uniform catalogue of measures and points. It gives every citizen the opportunity to continuously monitor the extent of his or her own misconduct and to correct it in time. Through the possibility of voluntary participation in a driving aptitude seminar, conspicuous road users can avoid reaching 8 points and thus the withdrawal of their driving licence. The seminar helps those affected to recognise and reduce their deficiencies in their attitude to road traffic. The Driver Fitness Assessment System is thus an important instrument for improving road safety.

All final decisions entered in the Register of Driver Fitness are scored
